Audiences were swept back into the worlds of childhood imagination when Pirates, Cowboys and Aliens took to the stage at the Wintergarden Forum in August 2025.
The lively, all-ages show invited families, grandparents, and young people to dive into a playground adventure full of pirates, cowboys, and aliens — and the audience responded with enthusiasm.
Feedback gathered after the performances showed that people rated the production highly, with many saying it held their attention, was well produced, and was fun for all ages. Comments from audience members included:
- “Loved the concept. The workshops before were a great way to involve the community.”
- “I enjoyed the workshop and seeing my grandson’s art come to life in the show.”
- “Awesome to see a touring show come out of Gympie and make its way here.”
For some, this was their first time attending a Perseverance Street Theatre Company performance or a BridgeWorx-hosted event, while others were already regulars at local arts and cultural activities. Across the board, participants strongly agreed that the arts have an important role to play in wellbeing and said they were “very likely” to attend future BridgeWorx performances.
Presented by Perseverance Street Theatre Company as part of JUTE Theatre’s DARTS program, Pirates, Cowboys and Aliens not only delivered an entertaining show but also demonstrated the power of creative wellbeing through community workshops and performance.
