What is Creative Health & Wellbeing?

Creative wellbeing at BridgeWorx is about weaving creativity into everyday life as a pathway to stronger mental health, social connection, and community resilience. It is not measured by artistic talent, but by the ability of creative experiences to spark joy, build confidence, reduce isolation, and strengthen a sense of belonging.

We achieve this through our four program pillars – Connect, Learn, Create, and Grow -which shape how we design and deliver our work.

Connect

is about bringing people together through shared creative experiences that strengthen relationships, reduce isolation, and build inclusive communities.

Learn

reflects our focus on developing new skills, nurturing confidence, and opening pathways into the creative industries and beyond.

Create

champions the act of making and expressing, giving people of all ages the opportunity to share their stories, explore their ideas, and discover new ways to engage with the world.

Grow

captures the transformation that creativity makes possible, from individual growth in wellbeing and resilience, to the broader growth of a vibrant local creative economy that offers long-term opportunities and lasting impact.

Through this framework, we deliver programs in theatre, digital media, visual arts, storytelling, and community events that are meaningful and accessible. By positioning creativity as a preventative tool, we support people to connect, learn, create, and grow in ways that strengthen both individual lives and the communities they are part of.
